Word from Grace Church is that their new Manhattan high school’s 9th grade enrollment has surpassed expectations, with a third of the incoming class coming from Grace. My understanding is that the 9th grade class is supposed to be around 50-60 students.
My clients generally prefer proven schools. We will be watching closely what happens at Grace this fall.
I work with many applicants to NYC private high schools. In general, parents and students seek challenging environments where students can best pursue their academic and extracurricular interests. Schools with known teams, clubs, and courses have an advantage.
Good luck to Grace and to Avenues. It’s exciting that students have more options going forward.
