Abacus Mom received this news today from Trevor Day School, which is adding a nursery school:
I am writing to announce the reestablishment of Trevor’s Nursery program, effective for the 2017-2018 school year. We are currently enrolling students for fall 2017 and will appreciate your keeping Trevor in mind for this entry point as you support families through their school search.
As many of you may remember, a Trevor Nursery program is a return to our roots. We started as a Nursery program in 1930 and only moved away from offering this grade level three years ago. Our recently completed strategic plan led us back to this important foundational program and I am thrilled to be able to offer a Trevor education to even more families.
Available to children ages 2.8 through 3, the Nursery program is an engaging first step within a school setting, and into a Trevor education. In nurturing spaces, and guided by two stellar teachers, students will develop fine and gross motor skills, socialize, master language development, and tackle the many exciting building blocks of learning. Enriching experiences taught by Trevor specialist teachers in art, music, physical education, and Spanish are also a part of every Nursery school week, as are trips to Central Park.
