About 30 families have withdrawn their children <from Park Avenue Christian> after learning — in the waning days of summer vacation — that the church planned to sell the school’s building to a developer and that the school was moving to the Upper West Side.
My contacts told me the same information last week. It really isn’t pleasant to have to get your four-year-old across the park for a short nursery school day. The school’s parents are angry and stressed about the sudden move right before school starts.
