The widespread sexual abuse at Horace Mann, which occurred years ago,  is deeply disturbing.  Understandably, it has been the topic of about five recent New York Times articles.

While some other Manhattan and Brooklyn private schools have had their own sexual abuse scandals, none have received such deep coverage.  Unfortunately, it is likely that more students have been victims, students at other day and boarding schools.

Given this, does Horace Mann deserve this much laser-like focus vs. other schools?  Is Horace Mann any worse than the next school?  It would be useful if the press could investigate attitudes toward sex between students and teachers at other schools during the same period.
