The New York Times reports in  Introducing Paul Burke, Nightingale’s New Leader that shockingly, a man will be heading this famed all-girls Manhattan private school.

Families I am working with for private school admissions are fine with this decision.  Many fathers have very heartfelt reasons for preferring girls’ schools for their daughters.  A man at the helm doesn’t seem discordant.

In my experience, at every level, Nightingale prefers mature, poised applicants.  The Times reports that Nightingale tries not to counsel out struggling students unlike many of its sister NYC all-girls private schools.
