Many families I work with are taking stabs at last year’s essays so they’ll have a head start for this fall’s kindergarten process. Given Trinity’s inhumane application deadline (often families need to get their essays in day after application release to make sure their children get interviews), it’s smart to get started over the summer. You get more breathing space from other schools, but unfortunately some do shut down kindergarten interviewing before official essay deadlines.
