The NYC Department of Ed announced this today for the NYC public school high schools:
Students and their families are invited to attend the New High Schools Fair this weekend. At the fair, students will be able to meet with representatives from the new small high schools scheduled to open in September 2011.
The fair will be held on Saturday, February 12, and Sunday, February 13, from 10:00am-1:00pm at Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Complex (122 Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan).
The Directory of New High Schools is now available online. Printed copies will be available at the fair this weekend and at Borough Enrollment Offices next week.
Many Manhattan and Brooklyn families choose to apply to NYC private high schools as well as public. I have been helping families with NYC private high school choice for twelve years. Your child is young–chances are, she’s never had to “sell” herself before. My time-tested and exclusive approach helps families and students identify, amplify, and showcase your most marketable strengths to private schools. My students have achieved admission to Horace Mann, Trinity, Dalton, Collegiate, Riverdale, Fieldston, Friends, Packer, and Hackley as well as to many other prestigious NYC and Westchester private schools.
This year, I’m excited to be partnering with Anthony-James Green, my favorite NYC ISEE and SSAT tutor. If your child is applying for admission to NYC private high school for 2012, now is the time to call us to maximize your child’s ISEE test scores, interview performance, and essays/applications. 212-712-2228 or eglickman(at)abacusguide.com. Hurry–by necessity, we have to limit the number of students we accept.
