The Debate Over How to Identify Gifted Preschoolers in the Age of Test Prep

The New York Times today offers experts’ views on how best to identify giftedness in young children.  As someone who has read exhaustively on this topic, I was much impressed by Clara Hemphill’s clear-headed take.  Hemphill is the founding editor of Insideschools.org and the author of New York City’s Best Public Elementary Schools.
