People keep calling and asking me how they should prep their children for the kindergarten ERB test.
There are different ways to skin this cat.
All we know right now is that the private schools are upset about all the WPPSI prepping, and while supposedly they will discriminate against a child who has prepared, at the same time the ERB now offers an online guide to the exam. There are no definitive plans yet about changing the test.
So your prep options are wide open, especially considering that nursery schools often prep in class, and one well-known nursery school actually refers its students to a tutor.
Clearly with all this prepping and the resulting score inflation, the kindergarten child interview and the school report now hold more importance than ever in the admissions process. Applicants’ performance needs to be consistent across all measures. My Kindergarten Admissions Prep program teaches parents the skills and abilities private schools seek from applicants, so you can make sure your child is prepared. I still have room for about five more families. Call today 212-712-2228 or email eglickman(at)abacusguide.com if you’re interested in learning more.
If you want to buy a straight ERB prep book that looks a lot like the exam, try Aristotle Circle’s.
